great towny bar for people who want to get away from all the noise of the meat market bars that most 18-22yr olds love. plunty of "goofy sh*t on the walls".a place for people who enjoy drinking and know what they want in a bar.

mega touch, and two of the most competitive pool tables in town.

Great place to sit down with your friends and have the best whiskey sour! Great people, great music, lots of fun! (and no chicago snobs!)

Home sweet home. You can‘t get quality drinks at the other "great bars" in Iowa City. The place to go if you don‘t want to be bothered by frat boys and sorority girls.

The Deadwood is a really great bar that has a laid-back atmostphere and is not full of pretentious people. The decor and clientele are pretty eclectic, and that‘s what I love about this place! Really great music too (stuff you can‘t hear in most, if not all, of the ped mall bars).

Great bloody marys. Can you say beef jerky?

Deadwood is a great place for any kind of people. I was never treated with anything but courtesy and respect from the excellent staff as well as the clientelle.
