Excellent experience. Excellent food made with heart. Pacing of meal is good. Food is of high quality. You get what you pay for. One of Iowa City‘s true gems. If you like dining out and good food, this place should be at or near the top of your list.

Best food in town. Great atmosphere, great Wine List. Cooking Classes or the wine dinners are the best experience you will ever have. I did both and was very impressed. My favorite Restaurant. I have dine in Las Vegas at Andre‘s Original and Cafe Z is as good as Andre‘s. TRY IT OUT

Best kept secret in Iowa City. Great wine list and the menu always changes (Lamb loin or elk loin) are the some od the best dishes i ever had. Try it out. Chef Z always at the restaurant cooking your meal.

Best kept secret in Iowa City. Food is comparable to Motley Cow or Redhead, all organic, locally grown. Have a wine/beer liscence but can bring your own bottle of wine for a small cork fee. Try the pastas, they‘re made to order (so have patience, get a bottle of wine) but the noodles are always al dente and the sauces gourmandise. Tons of flavor. Perfect for a romantic dinner or party. Runs about 25 bucks each after wine, dessert, coffee, etc. Way better than Giovannis. Much more creative dishes, food‘s not from Cisco. European style dining. In Iowa!
