I am in business in Iowa city and when travelers ask where to eat, I always recommend this restaurant. Excellent food, plenty of it and good price. Very nice and clean! Not opened on Mondays. I would recommend their Tenderloin - it‘s nice and meaty and I can get 3 - 4 sandwiches out of 1 tenderloin. They are also know for their swiss steaks, fish items, sanwiches and other items.. I think of it as good home cooking comfort food. If you have room try their pies - absollutely delish.

People who came to my shop and came back, always thanked us and went back for more.

Foreget about Joenseys pancake "Iowa‘s biggest tenderloin‘‘, Midtown makes ‘em look like a cracker on a bun. I can‘t attest to the rest of the menu, but then again why would I. I ordered the Jumbo Breaded Tenderloin the first time and with any luck it‘ll be the last meal I‘m ever served. If you‘re any kind of hungry treat yourself right. The menu prices make sense also, but if you think a $20.00 steak always tastes better I invite you to eat at my house, I‘ll only charge $19.00.
